BSNL was competing against those 15 operators nicely. Its entry into 5G was restricted to benefit JIO. I use BSNL broadband and it works good but its mobile network is bad.

Paying some of the country's brightest minds on standard government pay scales no longer makes sense in today's competitive environment. If immediate steps aren't taken to address these issues, it's not difficult to imagine ISRO facing the kind of talent drain and decline that BSNL experienced.
