In my case they had picked up the modem but still kept harassing me over phone for return of modem until some 30-45 days back. No amount of informing the telecaller that modem has been picked up helped.

Why solicit nonsense when customer does not want it. BTW Airtel does not pay rent for their apps on anybody's mobile. Ditto for other institutions. It is indirect violation of DND.
