I was told it is mandatory valid for 28 days or so and from next month onwards I'm free to choose any plan. Is it compulsory for a new customer to recharge for ₹240 after completing the MNP process to activate the sim?

Since I was away I had to use it and I recharged it for work related tasks. Yesterday it worked smoothly. Today I am not able to open Salesforce, Slack, Zoom or any productivity tool.
