Jio is trying to buy time to get software updates for all their modems, whilst furiously installing new ones at an insane pace. Basically they don’t have enough engineers, hence the hiring spree

Then he simply STOPPED ANSWERING THE PHONE. WHAT KIND OF BROKEN, PATHETIC CUSTOMER-SERVICE SYSTEM IS THIS? You belong to one of India’s biggest business groups. You enjoy an almost MONOPOLISTIC POSITION in this market. You take the customer’s money IN ADVANCE — and then you cannot even deliver a SET-TOP BOX for months.
