@TRAI @DoT_India @airtelindia — A question from a consumer, viewed through an impact-assessment lens: Should telecom QoS be assessed only by network parameters and complaint-closure statistics, or should we also consider the real-world impact of persistently poor/unstable connectivity on consumers? My experience with operators involved repeated 4G/5G inconsistencies at the same premises, multiple tests, G-Net coordinates, repeated information requests and complaints being marked “resolved” while the underlying experience continued. There is another dimension worth examining. Weak/unstable cellular connectivity can make a handset work harder to maintain connectivity, increasing energy consumption. At an individual level this may be small; at population scale, however, any systematic increase in device energy consumption represents additional electricity demand and potentially an environmental footprint. I am not suggesting that this impact has already been quantified or that it should automatically be attributed to a particular operator. I am asking whether it should be studied. TRAI is already assessing mobile network quality across locations and publishing QoS performance. Could future QoS assessment consider not only network availability and speed, but also actual customer experience, complaint-resolution effectiveness, premature closures and—where scientifically measurable—the wider energy implications of persistently poor connectivity? A network should ultimately be evaluated by the quality of service actually experienced by the consumer—not merely by whether the network exists or the complaint is marked closed.

    TJ (@PLATINUMTJ_2K02) reported

@airtelindia @Airtel_Presence 2/3 Complaint logged: CCNOR3EST20260826708901. Airtel set the resolution date to 10-09-2026—long after the trip ends! When asked for a refund, @Airtel_Presence refused, citing arbitrary 3-day rules, and asked to buy another pack. Pure harassment.

@airtelnews @airtelindia As per my experience, I never received such problem but today's experience especially with the after-sales team was pretty bad and I still didn't got any solution from the team of engineers or any respective representative from @airtelnews . This was one of my worst experience.

@airtelindia Pathetic service! Frequent disruptions, repeated complaints, and still no proper or permanent resolution. Customers are forced to suffer the same issue again and again with no accountability. Please fix the recurring problems @Airtel_Presence

@airtelindia I bought international roaming pack which is active on my number. I am unable to connect to any network, I have been trying for assistance on Airtel Cha for last 3 hours and waiting time is always long and after waiting for 15 minutes, it says retry. Pathetic Service

@airtelindia facing extremely slow speeds, buffering, and failed page loads. If there are hidden limits, fair-usage restrictions, or any condition under which “unlimited” data gets restricted, customers should be clearly informed before purchasing the plan.

@airtelindia Pls improve the 5G network in my area. For the past 10 days, my 5G connection has been unexpectedly switching back to 4G, causing very slow internet speeds and an unreliable experience. Kindly check the network coverage and resolve this issue soon. #Airtel
