    Mukesh Ambani reportedly never planned to enter the telecom sector on his own—the idea is said to have come from Modi, who personally encouraged him to start a telecom venture. When Ambani pointed out he lacked the infrastructure (towers), Modi allegedly told him to use BSNL’s towers at no cost. BSNL, which owns over 80,000 towers plus underground cabling, could have earned substantial revenue by leasing this infrastructure—yet Reliance is said to be using it without paying anything. Now, critics claim, Modi’s government is planning to wind down BSNL and hand its entire tower network to Ambani for free. This, the argument goes, is why the Finance Minister and Mohandas Pai have labeled BSNL a ‘white elephant.

    @BSNLCorporate The internet connection gets disconnected repeatedly, almost 3 times every week. Yesterday at around 11 PM, the connection went down and it is still not restored. What is more frustrating than the outage is the complete lack of response from the local BSNL team.

    @Sillycorns Good move, but calling it a Jio–Airtel duopoly breaker already is too early. Sharing towers and fibre can improve reach and reduce costs, but combining two struggling networks doesn’t automatically create one great network. Customers care about indoor coverage, stable speeds, fewer call drops and working 4G/5G, not another agreement on paper. If Vi and BSNL execute nationwide roaming properly while keeping plans affordable, this could become a real alternative. Until then, let’s wait for the network bars to improve first.

    @BSNL_HR @CMDBSNL @robertravi21 My primary sim is from BSNL from last 15 years. Sim is out of service from last 15 days but no solution from BSNL even after visting Customer service centre JIND, HR

    @bsingh_231 @venkat_fin9 First problem Govt won't charge royalty They haven't asked Reliance Jio to pay the bill to BSNL for using BSNL infrastructure Second, once the tech is out, it's too difficult to stop it from being copied

    @NPCI_NPCI I’m trying to log in to the BHIM UPI app using my BSNL SIM, but I’m getting the error “Unable to connect to your network provider” while fetching OTP. My mobile network and internet are working properly. Please look into this issue and help resolve it. #BHIM #UPI
