Ever since the sim upgrade I'm happy to use BSNL 4G, which is not superfast but decent and consistent. It gets the work done.

Sahil Patel (@SahilpatelCA) reportedToday, I want to share my experience of trying to buy a new BSNL SIM card. I decided to give BSNL another shot to see if their service has improved. I used it for a couple of years when I was younger, and honestly, the experience was terrible back then—constant call drops and the internet barely worked. Since I recently moved to a big city, I figured I'd test out their current network quality. When I went to the location to get the SIM, there wasn't even a proper office. It was just a registered address where a guy was standing under an umbrella. To make matters worse, he flat-out refused to give me the ongoing ₹1 offer and demanded ₹100 instead. When I told him I wouldn't pay ₹100 for an active promotional offer, he casually told me to travel 20 kilometers away to get it! I also tried ordering it online, but that was a bust too—the site just keeps throwing a '502 Bad Gateway' error. So far, the experience has been pretty disappointing, and I'm still deciding whether I even want to buy this SIM anymore. If I do end up getting it, I'll definitely update you guys on how the network actually performs, especially when I head back to my village to test the coverage there.
