Telecom companies didn't invest ₹1.5 lakh crore in spectrum just to give it away for free forever. Free was the bait. Premium pricing is the plan. So what happens next? We go back to good old fiber broadband. Most major broadband players offer around 3300GB monthly data with speeds ranging from 40Mbps to 1Gbps depending on what you pay. In cities, local broadband players are offering insane deals — 300Mbps at dirt cheap rates. If you're in a metro or tier-2 city, broadband will always beat mobile data on value. But here's the real problem — rural India. In villages, your broadband options are basically BSNL, and maybe Jio or Airtel if you're lucky.
