The Government quietly shuts down BSNL. It has stopped issuing new sims since Dec 5, 2025 after the vendor pulls the plug on key app. No new sims available in Punjab and Chandigarh for past several days……….

@BSNLCorporate Spoke to BSNL care about 4G SIM upgrade for a senior citizen who can’t visit the BSNL office. Was told an authorised person with KYC can collect it. But BSNL Guwahati refused, saying they don’t follow customer care info. How will senior citizens upgrade then?
