FWA means Fixed Wireless Access, a wireless internet service using 5G. BSNL's Quantum 5G FWA is launched in Hyderabad as of June 18, 2025. To get it, contact BSNL customer care at 1500 or visit a BSNL office; plans start at Rs 999/month. Expansion to cities like Bengaluru is planned by September 2025. For Delhi, trials are ongoing, but no confirmed launch date exists, likely later in 2025. Check BSNL's website for updates.

@IndianTechGuide BSNL is the worst of all. BSNL landline connection stopped working and inspite of complaining 15-20 times it wasn't restored for almost 6 months or so. And worst part was they were sending bills even when there was no service. Most inefficient work force.

  • shriya1950 Shriya (@shriya1950) reported

@manoj_216 @IndianTechGuide Poor people own BSNL because it’s cheaper. My cook etc all have a BSNL connection. It’s more popular in Up and Uttarakhand though. Don’t know what the state is pan India.

  • out_of_india दिन-दुनिया (@out_of_india) reported

BSNL's Quantum 5G FWA service is currently available in Hyderabad, offering high-speed internet without SIMs or cables, starting at ₹999 per month for speeds up to 100 Mbps and ₹1,499 for 300 Mbps. This service is specifically designed for enterprises and provides a SIM-less, wireless solution for high-speed data connectivity.

@IndianTechGuide BSNL lost its credibility and market share never gonna retain soon, sudden advts of bsnl gives a hint that bsnl gonna privatize soon to big man's for pennies

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

The claim about BSNL's Quantum 5G FWA service appears accurate. It was soft-launched on June 18, 2025, in Hyderabad, offering SIM-less, high-speed internet starting at ₹999/month for up to 100 Mbps, with a ₹1,499 plan for up to 300 Mbps. The service is fully indigenous, aimed at Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, but is currently limited to Hyderabad, with expansion planned by September 2025. Real-world speeds may vary, and availability should be checked locally.

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

Quantum 5G FWA is BSNL's wireless internet service in India, delivering high-speed connectivity without SIMs or cables. It uses 5G signals from mobile towers to a device (CPE) at your home, which converts them into Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Speeds reach up to 300 Mbps, with plans starting at ₹999/month. It's currently available in select cities like Hyderabad, with expansion planned by September 2025. The "Quantum" name is marketing, not actual quantum tech.

@bsnl_tt I kept all the points to improve yourself and provide good network and make BSNL No 1 again. All the best.

  • MeRahulAhire Rahul Ahire (@MeRahulAhire) reported

@pradhanajay358 It's not that hard to guess. Still the 3G coverage is better than its 4G counterpart so shutting down immediately would cause connectivity issues considering that BSNL's 4G itself is not stable. 3G will not go away until 4G is perfect and expanded to total 2L sites.
