Before 2014, India had a highly competitive telecom market with over 10 active operators, including major players Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, BSNL, Reliance, Aircel, Tata Docomo, Uninor, MTS, Videocon & MTNL. Now we have only Jio, Airtel & Vi. BJP built monopolies to help a few.

@Nher_who They have already done it. Try reaching out to airtel or bsnl. Bsnl offices are like garbage areas

  • BSNLEmployees Voice Of BSNL Employees (@BSNLEmployees) reported

You can’t expect efficiency from a structure where leadership has zero incentive to fix what’s broken and zero penalty for breaking what works. #BSNL

  • darao_pathakbar News seeker (@darao_pathakbar) reported

@BSNLEmployees Kindly stabilize #BSNl network speed. Sometimes 3g network isn't available. DND not working properly. Dockets raised for complaints and closed soon after ; issue appears again.

  • lichingngamba liching (@lichingngamba) reported

@BaluGorade Its not late to change the network and support other players like VI and BSNL, the major reason of this duopoly is because we citizens didn’t want to use their services. Airtel and JIO offers a lot and we simply use their services and there is no government hands in it.

  • covert_indian Covert Indian (@covert_indian) reported

@RoshanKrRaii My house has 2 bsnl sims, btw, and docomo went bankrupt so airtel bought it, poor handling of companies is not fault of Modi, and uninor and aircel both have been fault of congress, even their owners have said it

  • srikanthsk91 Shrikanth K (@srikanthsk91) reported

@DrNimoYadav BSNL is still very much there. I use it. Most others didn’t “vanish,” they either merged, sold stakes, or collapsed because of debt, bad management, or the 2016 price war.
