Spent ₹250 on a BSNL SIM (****2380) and got zero signal in return in Hyd center of the city. Disappointing service from a government telecom provider. This is exactly why customers move to Jio and Airtel. Please improve your network coverage. #BSNL @PMOIndia

The unlimited 5G data era is quietly coming to an endRight now, Jio, Airtel, and Vi all claim to offer "unlimited" 5G data. But let's be honest — only Jio actually delivers truly unlimited. Airtel and Vi have been playing games — soft caps, speed throttling, daily limits hidden in fine print. Thousands of users have already called this out. Once the honeymoon period ends, expect 5G data to come at a premium. Telecom companies didn't invest ₹1.5 lakh crore in spectrum just to give it away for free forever. Free was the bait. Premium pricing is the plan. So what happens next? We go back to good old fiber broadband. Most major broadband players offer around 3300GB monthly data with speeds ranging from 40Mbps to 1Gbps depending on what you pay. In cities, local broadband players are offering insane deals — 300Mbps at dirt cheap rates. If you're in a metro or tier-2 city, broadband will always beat mobile data on value. But here's the real problem — rural India. In villages, your broadband options are basically BSNL, and maybe Jio or Airtel if you're lucky. Local players don't go there because the economics don't work. So when 5G stops being free, rural users are left with either expensive mobile data or BSNL's inconsistent service. The digital divide isn't closing — it's just being repackaged under different marketing labels. Bottom line — enjoy your unlimited 5G while it lasts. The meter is about to start running. 📡💸
