VR (@ramachandra_vr) reported@saysatheesh Typical DMK response!! Whoever is ruling - State or Centre, Govt can never be good in any business management. Take UPA era (even DMK was a partner). How many PSUs lost & closed? HMT, HAL, ITI BSNL - all of them failed when they were exposed to competition from private sector. TASMAC in TN is another example for bad customer service. Air India is another example. Privatising airports maintenance (you are not selling it) & collecting taxes is the best option. BLR, HYD also suffered initially because of AAI (not BJP time!). Later, they were privatised - by UPA... Now you see the difference...

Content has to be created in Sun TV office from where it would be transmitted to various homes via Satellite TV / Cable. How will transmitting from BSNL ISDN lines unofficially help to reach the homes ? One option that I was thinking is that content was sent outside country via Dial-up ISDN lines illegally

Nyas Syal (@Nyassyal) reported@BSNLCorporate But I don't think the answer should be to eventually say: "We tried. BSNL couldn't compete. Let's shut it down." Telecom isn't just another industry. It is critical national infrastructure. I don't think India should reach a point where virtually all of its telecom infrastructure is controlled by private companies. 3/9
