Once upon a time, BSNL had a monopoly in the telecom sector. Because there was no competition, customer experience suffered - long waits at exchanges, high prices, and very poor service. But once private players entered the market, prices dropped, service improved, and BSNL eventually had to rethink its entire approach. That journey itself shows why healthy competition and selective privatization can lead to better services and lower costs for the common people. Those who strongly insist that the government should run airlines may want to reflect on this example. @IndiGo6E too should remember the BSNL story. Ultimately, every airline survives because passengers choose them. If customer experience declines, sooner or later new players will rise and serve people better - and history has shown that no company with a careless or dismissive attitude toward customers can sustain success forever. #IndiGo #BSNL #History

@SimplifieDDD In telecom, BSNL still exists for a reason: the day Jio or Airtel get greedy and start over-leveraging their pricing power, people will consider switching. Right now users pay a bit more only because the private players offer better service but that loyalty isn’t permanent

Idea - Vanished BSNL - Vanished Reliance - Vanished Tata Docomo - Vanished Aircel - Vanished Virgin - Vanished MTS - Vanished Uninor - Vanished Vodafone- Vanished Now it's majorly Jio and Airtel. VI also have a small share. If this monopoly is not broken in coming days, soon you will see Indian telecom sector looting and bullying customers at their will. Wake up before it is too late.
