@PremRawani1787 Hi, Greetings of the day! To port your number to BSNL, first send an SMS with the message PORT < > your mobile number to 1900. You'll receive a Unique Porting Code (UPC), valid for 4 days. Visit a BSNL customer service center with your ID proof, passport-size photo, and UPC code. Fill out the porting form, make the required payment for activation and the first recharge, and submit your documents. After submission, you'll receive a new BSNL SIM, and the porting process will take around 7 working days. During this time, your number may be temporarily inactive, and once the porting is complete, your BSNL SIM will be activated. Regards, BSNL Care (Kusum)

It’s been more than 6 months since I started using BSNL in Bengaluru. I use it as my secondary SIM, and it’s totally worth it and affordable. BSNL offers packs like ₹599 with 3 GB data and 70 days validity, ₹997 with 2 GB per day for 150 days, ₹347 with 2 GB per day for 50 days, and so on. I haven’t experienced any call drops till date. Occasionally, calls don’t connect immediately, but overall it’s very reliable. When it comes to internet speed, it’s neither too slow nor too fast. For moderate internet users, it’s definitely a boon. However, when you are outdoors, navigation can sometimes be an issue. Google Maps doesn’t connect immediately, and you may have to wait a few minutes even in city areas. But rural coverage is good for calls and provides decent internet access as well. If you are not a heavy user, then BSNL works well. Jio and Airtel are becoming too expensive. I use Airtel as my primary SIM, and it works well, but I feel Jio is out of my budget. Airtel also includes JioHotstar with some recharge plans, and there are more options for home Wi-Fi bundle packages, which helps save money in the long run. BSNL should expand its full 4G coverage soon, and the rollout of 5G should not take too long. @BSNLCorporate @JM_Scindia @PMOIndia #BSNL #Network

A bit of backstory: BSNL had been keeping my SIM on 3G for a long time despite 4G being available in my area. Had to post about it publicly to get it resolved, they escalated and switched me to 4G only after that post got traction. But I can’t be sure if the 4G migration is likely what triggered this issue or something else.
