Manish Sharma (@loginmanish1) reported@cricketkno51353 @ndtvindia Now, that's a problem. Ignoring the high infrastructure cost, thats reducing the players to just Jio and Airtel. All others nearly wiped out, even the mighty Vodafone and the gov operated BSNL. Chaddha ji seems to be asking for gov control thats taking back to License raj.

Sandman (@sandman160899) reported@bsnl_care 2gb/day plan may sound good. But in reality, the service of BSNL is bad. That’s why we choose 197 plan for basic button phone. Yet you sabotage the users by quietly reducing the validity. Bring reasonable voice only plans if you care.

Tushar Pandey (@equities_samjho) reportedThe recent BSNL-Vi infrastructure sharing deal seems to be a good step in value unlocking. It’ll help them avoid being crushed by Jio & Airtel. Vi has millions of legacy 2G users clogging up its high-quality 900 MHz band, which it desperately needs for 4G and 5G. Now, by shifting those 2G customers onto BSNL’s existing network, Vi can instantly clear that band to boost its data speeds without spending billions in a new auction. It’s a shortcut for Vi to improve its network quality while keeping its old customer base connected through BSNL’s infrastructure. It is a fundamental rule in telecom that the lower the band, the higher the quality of coverage, as these signals travel further and punch through thick walls much better than high-frequency bands. In return, BSNL gets to use Vi’s network capacity while it upgrades its own infrastructure. BSNL is currently stuck using its prime 700 MHz band for 4G but it needs that specific band to launch a high-end 5G service. Through this intra-circle roaming deal, BSNL can move its 4G traffic over to Vi’s equipment temporarily, giving them the breathing room to flip the switch on a standalone 5G network without their customers losing signal. The timing is critical because BSNL is finally getting a second chance with a ₹28,473 crore government infusion in the FY27 budget, announced on February 1, 2026. This money was re-allocated after BSNL failed to spend its previous ₹33,757 crore budget because the indigenous technology stack wasn't fully ready for prime time. Now that the tech is proven and Vi has also hiked its entry-level 5G tariffs to ₹349 (as of February 4, 2026), both companies now have a chance to stop the subscriber drain and may also end up as a credible third force in the Indian telecom market.
