  @AshwiniVaishnaw If computers are not working why keep post offices open sell it to ST couriers majority of post offices in Chennai face Internet issues due to antiquated BSNL ,systems always down poor suffer rich prefer ST Courier why waste you work with Ambanis why not introduce jio in posts

Kindly note that for BSNL MNP (Mobile Number Portability), physical KYC verification at the nearest BSNL CSC is mandatory as per telecom regulations, and doorstep SIM delivery is not applicable in MNP cases.   @mohitlaws Even then, besides idea, vodafone, airtel, reliance and BSNL only had purchased 2G spectrum from auction.. Other's didnt even have their own & were leasing it indirectly.. BSNL was already a gonner with poor network, vodafone & Idea were already getting weak, hence later merged

  Idea for @RahulGandhi election promises - revive BSNL and MTNL properly. Easy bookings, good coverage. If the private companies need to make a profit, limit it to 2g/3g, but keep their low budget phone plans alive. You can simply stand on stage and read out their recharge plan prices to get all the votes. Right now the public can't use them widely due to coverage issues. And this is not just for the poor. You can keep a phone no you mostly need for OTPs alive for a year in Rs. 321 if you're a Tamil Nadu police officer (as a comment below pointed out) - this could be extended to the poor! Loads of people who use separate numbers for banking and social media would vote for this.
