@PMOIndia why BSNL is weaker in the market in comparison with private operators? No signals, no 5G network, slow or almost no internet. Is it only for the rise of private networks? Or someone getting monetary benefits from local operators to stop improvements in BSNL?

@nppatil31589 @BSNL_UPEast But 900 can be used for 4G and 700 can be used for 5G. Bcz all 4G phones support 900Mhz, all 5G phones support 700Mhz. BSNL took a bad step here, Users facing issues due to this, either BSNL has to increase signal strength or increase the number of towers.

@BSNL_UPEast BSNL please use the full potential of 700 Mhz, even if it's not covering 500m. But other operators 1800Mhz can reach. We are expecting signal strength. @BSNL_CHTD

The claim that BSNL forgot to bill Reliance Jio Rs 10,000 crore is likely exaggerated. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India reports a loss of Rs 1,757.76 crore due to BSNL's failure to bill Jio for infrastructure sharing from 2014 to 2024, stemming from a dispute over billing for different LTE technologies. BSNL argues no revenue was lost and addressed the issue in 2025. The incident raises concerns about telecom competition but is more complex than negligence.

@anniezaidi @pranesh In general, the government is the oligarch or monopolist when it comes to pricing - BSNL's mobile services were extremely expensive, and even land lines, until private players came about. The state owned VSNL was ridiculously expensive until Bharti etc cut them down.

@romaticize Central is ruining Telecom sector by providing unfair support to JIO. Whereas abusing MTNL and BSNL at the same time.
