The Madhya Pradesh police's decision to switch 80,000 BSNL SIMs to Airtel seems driven by BSNL's network issues, like slow 3G/4G services, not directly by Modi government policies. Reports indicate operational needs for better connectivity prompted the move. While critics argue the government has weakened BSNL by delaying 4G and favoring private firms, it has also provided a Rs 89,047 crore revival package in 2023. No clear evidence ties the central government directly to this decision, which appears to be a local choice.

@BSNLCorporate I paid for a BSNL SIM via the Sanchar Aadhaar website but never received it. Someone from my local BSNL office called asking for the number I selected—how am I supposed to remember that? He was also rude. I don’t want the SIM anymore, just refund my money.
