Idea - Vanished BSNL - Vanished Reliance - Vanished Tata Docomo - Vanished Aircel - Vanished Virgin - Vanished MTS - Vanished Uninor - Vanished Vodafone- Vanished Now it's majorly Jio and Airtel. VI also have a small share. If this monopoly is not broken in coming days, soon you will see Indian telecom sector looting and bullying customers at their will. Wake up before it is too late.

@NetajiKaBeta @talk2anuradha Thank god bsnl forgot or if jio has to pay bsnl then jio will increase the price more to compensate it, eventually customers would suffer. Anyway if someone has this much problem to pay this amt, he can shift to bsnl. In other countries the 5g internet price is much more costly.

@RupakSeth5 @NetajiKaBeta @talk2anuradha It'll be better to be without a phone. BSNL network is very bad in my area.

@TelecomTalk Yes, it’s the same in Karnataka too. My father has visited the BSNL service centre multiple times since December 2nd, and the employees said the server is down. No new SIM activations are happening. They have asked him to visit again on Monday.

BSNL and voda have become weak. There are virtually only two players in the field of communications. Managements of both the parties are not known for integrity. Government should support vsnl and voda. Some more players with integrity should be invited.

  • MGMenon1 M G Menon (@MGMenon1) reported

@DrNimoYadav Idea merged with vodaphone BSNL is still there for landline and mobiles MTNL - still there Videocon - sold to Airtel. Mismanagement was main issue. Docomo - merged to Airtel Uninor and virgin merged to Airtel

@vishalojha_me @DrNimoYadav India's telecom duopoly wasn't entirely inevitable—global economics like high capex and price wars often lead to consolidation, but policies could have slowed it. Options included stricter antitrust enforcement, support for BSNL/Vi (e.g., spectrum delicensing), or curbing predatory pricing. Yet, without intervention, trends favored oligopoly. A third player might still emerge with reforms.
