BSNLCare (@bsnl_care) reported@DHAVALSATHVAR27 Dear Sir, Yes. As per TRAI’s 2026 drive-test reports for Gujarat, BSNL is providing 4G service on 4G spectrum, not simply using its 3G spectrum for 4G. In Gujarat, TRAI detected BSNL 4G on 700 MHz and 2100 MHz bands, while BSNL 3G was separately detected on 2100 MHz. So, 2100 MHz can be used by both BSNL 3G and 4G depending on the technology deployed, but BSNL’s 4G network in Gujarat also has dedicated 4G spectrum, including 700 MHz. The Government has additionally assigned BSNL spectrum in multiple bands for 4G/5G services. Regards, BSNL Care (Shatrughan)

Maybe Yoda (@yoda_maybe) reported@vishalsuchak The entrance of mobile telephony was the death knell for landlines anyway, what got me is how bsnl was degraded & handed over to Jio w zero look at security concerns. The only network allowed/available in forward areas (& remote ones) until 10 yrs ago was bsnl. Now jio & airtel.

Nishant (@patreonish) reported@Saurav_DC @MukAn_X I recently got to know that BSNL has already rolled out 4G in my city long time back, I just had to get my SIM upgraded to use 4G network. Ever since the sim upgrade I'm happy to use BSNL 4G, which is not superfast but decent and consistent. It gets the work done.

Sahil Patel (@SahilpatelCA) reportedToday, I want to share my experience of trying to buy a new BSNL SIM card. I decided to give BSNL another shot to see if their service has improved. I used it for a couple of years when I was younger, and honestly, the experience was terrible back then—constant call drops and the internet barely worked. Since I recently moved to a big city, I figured I'd test out their current network quality. When I went to the location to get the SIM, there wasn't even a proper office. It was just a registered address where a guy was standing under an umbrella. To make matters worse, he flat-out refused to give me the ongoing ₹1 offer and demanded ₹100 instead. When I told him I wouldn't pay ₹100 for an active promotional offer, he casually told me to travel 20 kilometers away to get it! I also tried ordering it online, but that was a bust too—the site just keeps throwing a '502 Bad Gateway' error. So far, the experience has been pretty disappointing, and I'm still deciding whether I even want to buy this SIM anymore. If I do end up getting it, I'll definitely update you guys on how the network actually performs, especially when I head back to my village to test the coverage there. Has anyone else faced this issue recently? @BSNLCorporate
