I hve changed from Airtell to Idea to vodaphone to BSNL, but no signal (net work). Have been requestng the IT Minister Shri @rsprasad for the last 7 yrs bt to no avail. It nds, a tower nearby to improve.

Rahul Raj (@rahulrajsahay) reported@cb_doge @Starlink Suggestion : Instead of pitching it as a D2C thing, offer it as an uplink for BSNL/MTNL, the state owned operator who is the sole ISP attempting to connect these villages. Let them handle customer KYC etc + the last mile connectivity. Best of both worlds.

There is bureaucracy, inefficiency and a lot of room for better management. Private operators have beaten BSNL on many of these things. That's reality. 2/9

The tower has been non-functional for the past three or four years. Even when it was operational, the network was poor and 3G didn't work, yet they talk big about introducing 5G. Right now, villagers use the structure to store animal fodder. @bsnl_care

It is critical national infrastructure. I don't think India should reach a point where virtually all of its telecom infrastructure is controlled by private companies. 3/9

Ajay (@Ajaykumaarji) reportedBSNL no longer wants to be just the cheaper option… There was a time when people would simply ignore BSNL, thinking of it as just a government telecom company. But now, the picture seems to be slowly changing. The ₹1 offer, affordable plans, and efforts to improve the network - BSNL is clearly signalling that it is in the mood to reclaim its place in the market. Now the real question is... Could BSNL’s comeback become a new challenge for Airtel and Jio? If the network keeps getting better, many people might even start keeping BSNL as their second SIM.
