@talk2anuradha BSNL has gone down because they refused to improve their customer service. BSNL service experience is so bad, I wouldn't accept their connection if they give it to me for free. BSNL had the largest advantage, their whole department behaved like govt babus & ruined it...

@IndianGems_ If you are worried about minimum recharge then start using BSNL, it's our Government company, if they don't provide proper network then fight with the government. It's better than crying at private telco prices.

@mohitlaws Telecom before 2014: Airtel | Vodafone | Idea | BSNL | Aircel | Uninor | Tata Docomo | MTS | Reliance | Videocon Telecom after 2016: Jio | Airtel | Vi (barely) What really destroyed most of the old telecom players? 👉 A flawed UPA-era policy: 122 2G licences granted in 2008 at 2001 prices, via a “first-come, first-served” process — no auction, basically gifting away spectrum. 👉 Unchecked entry + underpriced spectrum + legal uncertainty => massive financial & regulatory chaos (many firms lost licences or sank under debt). 👉 So by the time competitive pressure came (entry of Jio, need for big investment, data-driven tariffs, 4G/4G+ rollout), only a handful – with deep pockets and scale — could survive. Result: It wasn’t just “Modi/victory/market-war” that killed the rest. The structural damage was already done by earlier policy mistakes.

Voice Of BSNL Employees
(@BSNLEmployees) reported
@sampleindia12 Blaming BSNL staff won’t fix the structural issues or revive the company. Critical decisions lie with DoT-deputed management — not the employees on the ground. Let BSNL employees run their own company for once and see the results.
