I was told it is mandatory valid for 28 days or so and from next month onwards I'm free to choose any plan. Is it compulsory for a new customer to recharge for ₹240 after completing the MNP process to activate the sim?

Most of the time there is either a very weak signal or no network at all. Calls drop frequently, internet barely works, and students/staff are facing issues
