But the government must find a way to get rid of the useless corrupt officials, who are solely responsible for its downfall. Outsourcing to private is a solution.

BSNL always welcomes new customer but they didn't taking responsibility of their customers. BSNL always forget to give service, resoving customers problems. Queried on your app but pathetic customer support. Shockingly paytm doesn't have a call centre no to resolve payment issue. Please revert as it is urgent.

This is 30+ year old proven Inmarsat GEO satellite phone technology (handhelds like IsatPhone have been around since the 2000s, with roots going back decades). Etisalat-backed Thuraya was already deploying similar sat phones which could be used globaly in the early 1990s-2000s. - At ₹1.34 lakh for the handset + high monthly rentals (₹3.5k to 11k+), it's damn expensive for regular public use. Makes sense only for real needs like mountaineering, defence, maritime, disaster response, mining or remote interiors where normal mobile coverage doesn't reach. For everyone else, it's overkill.
