@SwarajyaMag That's more money going down the drain. If possible the govt should release the employees by offering VRS & transfer BSNL on lease to Tata (highly unlikely) or any major Indian telecom operator for a long term.

@MrrMukherjee 2 decades back, I used to give full form of BSNL as, Bhangar Service Nigam Ltd. Better to disinvest this ailing PSU which isn't showing any signs of improvement.

@AmitShah @jtnladakh @narendramodi Irrespective of the money that you pump in for BSNL, the company will never become financially viable. It is Air India in the making.

@SwarajyaMag It is better to shut down this money guzzling monster. Most of the staff don't work and are often enjoying themselves. I went to BSNL office in Mysore a couple of weeks back for a friend and found all the female employees enjoying an ethnic day, posing for photos

@idesibanda @akhileshsharma1 In that case you are partially right. Most of the PSU are profitable and they can pay their employee salary by profit generated by company But when company face any problem the Goverment is always there to bailout by taxpayer money like in the case of BSNL(1.6 lakh crores )
