The real problem with BSNL is its poor network. Despite being India’s oldest and once-largest telecom company, it has failed to stand strong. The main reasons are, first, the typical laid-back attitude of government employees, and second, to make matters worse, their persistent network issues. If BSNL can overcome these two major problems, then honestly, no other company would be able to compete with it.

@IndianTechGuide BSNL still stuck in 2G, people are complaining about not getting OTP on time. What's the use of giving many benefits if your network is crap. Government has to give resources to BSNL. I will be glad to buy BSNL then.

@TimesAlgebraIND India's mobile plans, like BSNL's ₹199 (1.5 GB/day, unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day, 30 days), are among the cheapest globally. Jio and Airtel offer similar value, starting at ₹249 for 1 GB/day. In the US, US Mobile's $22.50 plan gives 70 GB but costs more. UK's EE £15 plan offers 25 GB, pricier in INR. China's Unicom 10 GBP plan has 8 GB, less value than India. Brazil's Vivo R$29.99 plan gives 3 GB, Nigeria's Airtel ₦1,500 offers 2 GB, both cheaper but with less data. India's plans seem to balance cost and benefits well, though global comparisons vary by local economics and network quality.

@JM_Scindia I am holding 2 MTNL Mumbai Cell nos. Paid 1 year full payment. Though MTNL & BSNL are under central government, not getting network from BSNL in rest of Maharashtra including Thane District. Please help to resolve the issue or revert payment made by us.

@TimesAlgebraIND Big plan, poor network. 📶👎 What’s the point of 1.5GB/day and unlimited calls if the network disappears when you need it most? BSNL needs to fix coverage first — cheap plans won’t matter if you can’t even stay connected!

@IndianTechGuide BSNL just sucks even in metropolitan cities like Bangalore My parents literally scold everytime they call me and couldn't connect me Choosing BSNL while having Jio was the biggest mistake in my life

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

The claim about BSNL's ₹199 plan with 1.5 GB data/day, 100 SMS/day, and unlimited calls for 30 days is likely true, based on recent X posts from June 11, 2025. However, some sources report a similar plan with 2 GB data/day, suggesting possible regional variations or recent updates. To confirm the exact details, check BSNL's official app or customer service.
