Few years back BSNL was the only service provider(govt)then many pvt. sector entered into market Jio like services gaved many types of discount earlier& now every month prices are increasing.

Debt of Vi just got converted into equity with government's help in order to revive the company. Government has no other right over Vi which is a private firm. Also, there is no guarantee that BSNL could succeed like Vi.

Even if the government puts more money into BSNL, the chances are that it would be a huge waste of gov revenue with BSNL struggling to make profits.
