Jio started straight with 4G technology and free for one year. Moreover Jio used bsnl tower's for free. This being a govt unit would have suffered the same lethargy that PSUs did till early 2000s and would have probably been a cash dump like BSNL.

Their entire broadband system is practically in the "ICU" and absolutely no official wants to take any responsibility for it! If a customer complains about faulty internet, they casually take 15 to 20 days just to fix a basic issue.
