@KesariDhwaj @rud_ras Have similar experience after switching over to Airtel from earlier BSNL. Earlier there was no MNP. Problem with getting locked to one seller without option of switching over.

Literally even BSNL employees at Gowliguda exchange Hyderabad, doesn't know about best recharge plans. And they fail to explain the recharge options. @BSNLCorporate Good Bye!! I would never recomend BSNL to anyone.

Keep in mind that Vodafone is on similar lines with Airtel where minimum recharge doesn't allow SMS. Jio seems to be a good option if you don't have BSNL in your area..
